Week 37- Baby news and Cardinals baseball

As you can see we have crossed yet another milestone for Sara and Maleah this week. We went to the doctor on Thursday and found out that Sara is 2cm dilated and is 50% efaced with very little hope of seeing her due date. We shouldn't say hope because she's anxious about Maleah getting here and not being so uncomfortable anymore. She's been having contractions and other indications that this week could be the week that she does have our bundle of joy. She had her baby shower last week which consisted of family, friends, gifts, food, and laughter. I am assuming everyone had fun because we haven't gotten any request to recieve returned gifts. haha. Pretty much we have everything. The question has been what do you need. Honestly we need gift cards to places that sell diapers, formula, and commodities that babies need. Don't feel cheesy sending us one. Somehow people have gotten the stigma that gift cards are a way of saying " we couldn't think of anything so you're stuck." We honestly would rather have that than something that we can't use and it waste your money. Now, off of that band wagon. The baby is doing well so far with a great heart beat and is head down which is a good thing. Here's some interesting facts about the baby in her 37th week:

Your baby is about 21 inches from head to toe and weighs almost 6.5 pounds. Baby is getting rounder every day, and skin is getting pinker and losing its wrinkly appearance. Baby's head is usually positioned down into the pelvis by now.

We will definately keep you posted on the baby.

On Monday, the ministry blessed Sara and I with some baseball tickets to see the Cardinals play the Royals. Of course, with Pujols, Molina, and several others added to the injury list, the game was lost. But that's ok, they played well and hard. :) We definately enjoyed having the day to ourselves the next day and can't wait to have more times like these. I do tire of hearing "well a baby will change that" Hoenstly people, a baby can go wherever you go. The world does not completely and utterly revolve around the baby. Yes, if she's sick or blah, we probably will reconsider taking her to places in public but she can be placed in a car seat, a lap, a hand, etc.

Well, that about sums it all up. Be blessed each and everyone of you!

Check out the Lighthouse!

For us readers, this was pretty fast. For you are lovely bride, I am sure she is ready for it to be over.

Praying for a safe, smooth, quick (but not too quick) delivery
