It has definately been a full weeked of fun for Sara and I. After the storm passed, we headed up to Belleville and picked up the kids (Kiersten and Braeden) from their house. We ended up eating a nice dinner with the family (Wendy, Jamie, Kiersen, and Braeden) and talking until about 730. We headed home and watched half a movie. Well, I should say they watched half a movie while I worked on a digital art project (you can see that on my photos on my Myspace Page). Then off to bed we all headed to sleep in sweet lala land. We woke up to watching cartoons, eating chocolate chip pancakes, and watching the rest of the movie. Shortly after we headed over to Grandma and Grandpas for some snow sledding. We had to have run around for 2 hours but the kids had fun. I would have had some pictures but goofball here forgot to bring the camera. Not that we live that far but I didn't want to drive any more than I have to with the car, which is another story for a longer blog. The kids had a blast playing in the snow (I should say Ice but anywho) with everyone pushing them around. Sara and I remenensed of the times we were their age and realized that we are getting older. Crap. We'll just leave it at that. Grandma and Grandpa fed us all with pizza from Pizza Hut. Best pizza I had there in a long time. We proceeded with a game of Life and then off to talking the adults went while the kids played other things. Now, we are home following a great dinner of shrimp with a movie. Soon, we will be heading to bed to sleep the night away and wake up to go to church. I am going to miss these little rascals when they leave but I am enjoying them.
***NOW THE BONUS***
Ok, so it has been a few weeks since I have updated you all on the baby. The little angel is growing and is doing well. Soon, we will find out what the baby is and how big it really is. All we have to really rely on is WebMD. Sara is doing much much better and is enjoying the pregnancy more and more each day. We can feel the baby kick from time to time. Sometimes harder than others. If you want to get a good hard kick, don't feed it for 3 hours. It WILL let you know it's time to eat.
Here is the week by week of the baby from 19-21
Week 19
Your baby measures about 5.2 to 6 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 7 ounces. Skin is developing and transparent, appearing red because blood vessels are visible through it. Creamy white protective coating, called vernix, begins to develop.
Week 20
The fetus measures about 5.6 to 6.4 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 9 ounces. Your baby can hear sounds by now -- your voice, heart and your stomach growling, as well as sounds outside your body. It will cover its ears with its hands if a loud sound is made near you, and it may even become startled and "jump." The baby is moving often, too -- twisting, turning, wiggling, punching and kicking.
Week 21
Your baby measures about 7.2 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 10.5 ounces. The fetus is steadily gaining fat to keep warm. Growth rate is slowing down but organ systems, like digestion, are continuing to mature. A waxy film, called the vernix caseosa, is being produced by your baby's oil glands and covers the skin to keep it supple in the amniotic fluid. Buds for permanent teeth are beginning to form.
If you want to see a jewel, see the baby's room in the House Portion of our Photos on Myspace. :) Have fun!
