Ok, the last update was a week early so I waited to post this in the correct week. Sara and baby are doing well this week. Sara is still under the weather typically at night and more when she is tired. The baby is not adjusting to the weather in St. Louis. Of course, it does take after the mommy and daddy. Anyhow, Sara is developing a little pouch that is more visible from a profile glance. You can see her on the pictures in my photos. Sara's first appointment was Wednesday and they basically drew blood and gave her loads of information. She even got a book on what to expect when you are expecting. I thought that was pretty cool that they are trying to help her as much as possible. The lady was pretty nice...even if I played a really bad joke on her.
The Baby: Congratulations! Your baby is now officially called a "fetus." It looks a little like a medium shrimp, measuring 1.25 to 1.68 inches from crown to rump, and weighing a little less than two-tenths of an ounce. You might be reassured to know that most physical malformations, when they occur, have occurred by the end of this week, so the most critical part of your baby's development is safely behind you. But other developmental processes, such as those affecting behavior and intelligence, will continue throughout pregnancy. Eyes are covered by skin that will eventually split to form eyelids.
-----Other News----
With the move to Red Bud quickly approaching, we are in the middle of packing and getting ready. Soon we will be going to Memphis and enjoying a time of a family gatherings and food. I recently found out that I am almost as fat as I was when I lived in Memphis so with that little bit of encouragement, I am attempting to get back down to a healthy weight. This month I have lost 4 pounds so far with just adjusting my food intake.
We also are in the market for another vehicle since the one we have is currently having issues again. It's nothing major but I just had the brakes replaced on it and now I have to get the steering column fixed on it. Not to mention that the transmission is slipping again. We will see. Anywho, we are doing well with the adjusting to the business of life. Soon, it will calm down...for a few months at least. :)
