The Grind | The Chipped Mug

Soon, Project 58 and its team of missionaries will be heading to Haiti to reach out in an effort to bring relief to the suffering people as result of the 2010 earth quake that ravaged the nation. On June 28th, Founder and CEO Joshua Earls and his wife, Lauren, will board a plane and begin the journey to re-build lives.

What is the mission behind Project 58? It derives out of the book of Isaiah.

“This is the kind of fast day I’m after: to break the chains of injustice, get rid of exploitation in the workplace, free the oppressed, cancel debts. What I’m interested in seeing you do is; sharing your food with the hungry, inviting the homeless poor into your homes, putting clothes on the shivering ill-glad, being available to your own families.” Isaiah 58:6-7 (MSG)

The Project 58 team will be sending aid and be preparing for new trips with a bigger, wider picture! They "are going to Haiti with an organization called Partnership International. We will be working with an orphanage doing some basic construction and helping with a sports-themed VBS. The orphanage is located away from Port au Prince in the mountains." Project 58 posted recently on their Facebook site; "Hey everyone! We are leaving for Haiti on June 28. We will be working in an orphanage. If anyone wants to donate stickers, candy (that does not melt), school supplies, sports balls (preferably tennis balls-they are easy to pack and the kids love them), or anything small that the kiddos will like, just email us at info@project58.org." The Chipped Mug is not proud but is honored to support this great mission team and is urging you to be in prayer as they leave for Haiti in the few days. You may wonder what you can do to help and it’s simple. Go to www.Project58.org and support them financially or in prayer or both.

The Chipped Mug is a new, upcoming concept of a coffee shop that supports humanitarian outreaches both prayerfully and financially. Our goal is to change the world one cup of coffee at a time. Now That’s A Cup Of Coffee!
