Live at Tummy Central....30 Weeks

Things are definately moving quickly in Tummy Central. Joanna's growing bigger and bigger every day. Sara hasn't had too many weird cravings other than her normal lemonberry slush from Sonic...which someone is due for soon. She's definately feeling pregnant between the stretching to the "i can't sleep" syndrome to the Braxton Hicks....lol. I know it's spelled wrong but just the thought of Toni Braxton mixed with a hick kinda makes me laugh....corny. Anyway, we have another dr appointment next thursday and we get to hear the baby's heart beat which always reassures us everything is great and it gives us a sneak peak of Joanna's progress.

She's getting bigger:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

I am looking forward to many new things that are going on in our lives. New days ahead with new "adventures" as Sara and I call them. Stay tuned to Tummy Central.

Wow, 30 weeks already. The end is nigh!

I've read that Braxton Hicks contractions are supposed to be painless. Do they really bother Sara that much?

I am not sure about the pain variation of them but when she was pregnant with Maleah, we went to the hospital in March because she was hurting so bad. The doc said that all it was was Braxton Hicks contractions. This time she has them but it's not as bad. They do bother her a lot because it's constantly stretching and contracting.

The end is nigh for you guys as well. Just think, around the same time you will have Mini-Coop with ya. :)

Hmmm, in that case, shhhhh, don't tell Val that they can be that rough, and hopefully she'll avoid it!
