Live at 33 Weeks, It's Tummy Central!

Some may wonder, what happened on the 32nd episode of "Tummy Central?" Glad you asked. Nothing. Baby still grew, mommy still was ready for her to be here, life was still grand.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program.....

Now Live at 33 Weeks in Tummy Central!

Monday we heard the heart beat again and Sara measured well. The biggest pain right now is no sleep. We call this getting prepared. Maleah was good sleeper so Joanna will be too. That's what we will believe and nothing less. Sara's other pain is heartburn. The myth of hair is a lie. Maleah didn't have that much hair and Sara had heartburn even after the pregnancy. Lies. All Lies...

This guy still insists on measuring by fruit but Sara goes here so, here goes I:
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

Somehow, I missed a whole week but it's not all in vain. Next week: 34 Weeks....imagine that....

Heh. Yeah, we just hit our 30th week, and there's not much more to say other than, "Pregnant wife can't sleep, wants to sleep, gets indigestion, wants baby out ASAP."
