29 weeks in Tummy central

Well, it's another week at Tummy Central and Momma is experiencing the fun of Braxton Hicks. She's not been feeling weel today but soon, it will be over. Joanna's growing strong and healthy. We just had our monthly visit with the doctor and he says that she's "borining." We like boring. Our C-Section date is set for October 15th at 730 am.

How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

Maleah's moved up to a big girl bed. She continues to roll around and find the crack that is opened at the bottom to fall out. Tonight was the first time that she didn't fall out. Whoohooo! Some say it's too early but we honestly have no choice. We have run out of room for her to sleep in the crib. Soon, Joanna will occupy the nursery. Maleah's growing by leaps and bounds. She's over two and a half feet tall and about 25 pounds. She loves to eat, sleep, and play.

Nothing else is new but soon, there will be a day full of excitement.

Yes, boring would be great! The more uneventful the better! Except that every time we bring something up to the doctor, she says it's "normal," even when it's two opposite symptoms!
