25 Weeks in Tummy Central

The past few weeks seemed to have flown by like the wind and the rain on a hot summer day. Sara and I are amazed at how quickly our family is growing, our lives are changing, and how funny God really is. Seriously, you ought to get a trip out of what God is doing in our lives. We should, by all the world's standards, be living in poverty. We are not filthy rich by any of the worlds standards but I don't have to worry about anything because I have a God who meets our needs (Phil 4). We recently went to the Grizzlie's game and watched some baseball and fireworks. Maleah got to watch the big explosions and she clapped her hands in excitement. Nothing matters to her in life. The only thing she cares about is food and sleep with an occassional diaper change. But now we are in the 25th and 26th weeks of the next stage in our lives. Joanna Grace is moving around quite frequently, landing on mom's bladder and thinking it is funny deep down inside. she is healthy and that is what matters. Here's what's going on in Tummy Central :

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

It's amazing how God created this little being and day by day she is growing bigger and stronger. We serve an Almighty God! See my post on A Quest for Jesus. God bless you and have an awesome day!

Now who actually knows how big a rutabaga is?! Can't we agree on better size relations during pregnancy? Like, "as big as if someone started wrapping a ball of twine five years ago," or "box of french fries, super-sized."

Seriously, what is a"rutabaga"? When I think of that, I think of some middle eastern theme. Of course we could relate to a super sized french fry. But what about a big and tasty? Now I am getting hungry and need to change the subject...

Yep, we should start a movement dedicated to measuring the baby based on hamburger size:

Jr. Burger
Single
Big & Tasty
Quarter-Pounder
Big Mac

And when you have to start smaller, go with a french fry, then chicken nugget.

I see great potential here!
