Tummy Central at 23 Weeks

As momma gets bigger, so does Joanna Grace. Sara seems to be feeling pretty good so far. This past weekend we went camping, hence the reason I didn't update. She climbed boulders, slept on the ground, ate smores, and swam in a creek. By Sunday, she was beat. Maleah seems to be enjoying herself with her new found freedoms. She started walking a little last week which was pretty weird considering she's not quite a year and it's just wrong that she's growing up.

Joanna at 23 weeks:

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

I have been doing OT it seems like forever. We don't mind the pay check but I think that it will be worth it in the end. Sara will be glad when it's over too. :) She's truly a good sport about it. Most women would be ready to fire their husbands and hire a butler.... not her. She knows she would have to retrain him. lol just kidding. This week has come to an end and now we are enjoying the spoils of our labors. We're playing games and jellin' next to the couch. Why not on the couch? Jenga. Enough said.

Tomorrow we are heading to St Louis for picture for Maleah, grocery shopping, and then dinner with George and his crew. Look forward to seeing all of you there. The baby will be going to grandma's for the night. Well, that's about it folks. As you can see, Tummy Central is getting closer and closer to disbanding and moving to crib side seating. God bless all of you and don't stay up too late.
