The sun gleamed down onto the fall leaves as we drove down Route 3 to the game yesterday. You can already see the excitement of the football season plastered on every store front window: Go Musketeers! The Red Bud no win wonders made a turn around this year with winning 8-1, which is a first in the history of this town. We gathered with half the town to see the young men play a great game of football. The brisk breeze blew as the people cheered for their alma mater as they kicked the pants off of the opposition. There's nothing like the smell of hot dogs, nachos, cola, and b.o. to kick off a great time. Of course, you have to see this to believe it but some people take it a little to the extreme by sitting atop a R.V. to watch the game. Free food, clean toilets, and heat. What can you complain about other than falling 10 feet? Never mind. We have to say it was a hoot! 13-0 was the ending score with the other team trying 3 times to score on the 1 yard line. No comment.
We headed back home to get some rest when in the middle of our rest we got several phones calls. Something was up so we decided to call Sara's mom back. They invited us to go to the St. Louis Blues hockey game. Come on, how can you turn that down? Free, can we say duh? So we headed to St. Louis with them and watched Washington get creamed 4-3. Ok, maybe not creamed but hey, we were there...they won. :)
Small town pride......would not ever change that for one moment.
