Somedays

Somedays

We got our bed on Saturday afternoon after waiting for it for a week. Oh...sweet bed.... It is a monstrosity of bed springs and foam. I love this mattress. Sara loves this mattress. Thank God. :)

A Funny:
Sometime last week Sara and I were washing our hands in the bathroom before dinner and it has always been a practice to put the toilet seat all the way down (yes, a man wants the seat completely down...you’ll see why as this story unfolds.) because I have this fear of dropping things in there and flushing them, costing lots of money to get it out. Well, my fear came true to a degree. I went to take my band off because I was going to wash my hands and whoops! It fell into the toilet. EWWW! Luckily it was not flushed and I could just reach down in there...but still. It was funny to hear the reaction from Sara’s lips. Lol. We found it to be funny because it has always been my fear and someone left it open. Hehe.

Reality Sets In:
Many know that the married life is not easy. However, Sara and I apparently are the exception. Pastor announced to the whole congregation on Sunday that if we hadn’t had the whole distance between us and talking on the phone with each other all the time, we may not be as happy as we are. Reality is, we are happy and the Pastor acknowledged it. If the church didn’t know who we were then....they do now. ;)

The Garage Sale:
So, May 5th, we are having a big garage sale...without the garage. Ok, so it’s a yard sale. But we have a lot of stuff to get out of this house. When we got married, I had a lot of stuff donated, which is nice but we have so much right now. We are trying to get out of debt so...this will help.

The Car:
I have had this car for a little over a year and have had nothing but problems out of it. It works fine for several months and then something freakish goes wrong with it. It works. It gets me here and there. So I really can’t complain. However, I can say that when someone is supposed to tighten your belts....it means all of them. KTHX Anyhow, if anyone knows a good inexpensive mechanic, let me know.

Love:
I love my wife so much. This weekend, she hasn’t felt well. Well, all week she hasn’t felt well. But she still manages to try to do things around the house. Like yesterday, she gets down in that basement with me and brings more stuff to see out and she’s feeling like crud. More than that but I can’t tell online here. Anyway, I love her very much.

Yeah, for the first month I was terrified of my band slipping off while washing my hands. Thankfully, over the next few months we ate so much good food that my ring is permanently implanted into my finger!
